Seasonal Parties
Seasonal parties are often held in community parks or clubhouses.  They usually include a craft activity and loads of snacks from participating moms.  Recent annual parties have included Valentine's Day, Spring Fling, Fourth of July, Halloween, and Winter Holiday.  In addition  we have a couple of parties just for moms such as the Annual Cookie Exchange to kick off the holiday spirit, the Quarterly Welcoming Social to meet and greet our new members, and the  Mother's Day Brunch to celebrate just being the great Moms we are!

Playdates
There are several playdates, with varied activities, on the calendar each month:

• Weekly park playdates scheduled all over Sarasota.
• Tours such as: fire station, recycling center, pizza shop.
• Craft Day
• Playgroups, hosted by various volunteer members.

Adult Activities

• Mom's Morning Out - Moms gather at a restaurant, coffee house, member's home, etc., for quiet conversation.
• Mom's Night Out - Moms gather at a restaurant, coffee house, craft shop, member's home, etc., for a relaxing evening.
• Bunko - Moms gather at a member's home to play this fun dice game.
• Couple's Night Out - This is a great way to meet other members with their partners.

Kid Chat Meetings
Kid Chat is a friendly place (usually a member's home) for members to share and discuss parenting topics in a small group setting.  The format of the meeting is to first discuss a topic provided by the host.  The second hour is to share joys or concerns of parenting.  This is an evening activity for moms, but nursing babies are always welcome.

Sunshine Committee
The Sunshine Committee is made up of generous moms who provide meals during times of need.  YML members are entitled to three nights of meals if they:  have or adopt a baby, have a serious illness or accident, have a death in their immediate family or other serious hardship.
